Our Story
Welcome to Auckland South Football Club, a newly established club with a focus on values-driven football for boys and girls aged 4 to 11 in South Auckland. Our team of experienced coaches recognized the need for a club that not only develops talent on the field but also prioritizes the holistic growth of young players from all backgrounds.
As we place a clear emphasis on football skills and talent cultivation, we also understand the transformative power of soccer in shaping young minds. At Auckland South Football Club, we are dedicated to enhancing essential skills such as listening, concentration, focus, and respect through the lens of the beautiful game. Our goal is to empower our young players to excel not just as athletes but as individuals equipped with crucial life skills.
In addition to skill development, we are deeply committed to the well-being of our players and their families. Through educational programs that focus on mental, emotional, and physical health, we strive to equip our youth with the tools to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence.
Our "It's Okay to Fail" initiative lies at the heart of our coaching philosophy. By encouraging a positive approach to setbacks, we instill in our players the importance of resilience, the value of overcoming challenges, and the power of learning from mistakes. We believe that every stumble is an opportunity to grow stronger and more resilient.
Auckland South Football Club operates as a charitable Trust, ensuring that every contribution directly benefits the children and coaches who drive our programs each year. Through our network within the New Zealand football community, we have partnered with Auckland FC and collaborated with NZ Football to bring the Malaysia International men's team to South Auckland in October 2024. These initiatives not only strengthen our ties with the Asian community but also provide unique opportunities for our young players to shine on a global stage.
